This is certainly one of the most attractive phones availale, with a more striking, cohesive look than either the Sony Xperia Z or the Samsung Galaxy S4. It’s only the slightly aggressive styling that makes this feel like an HTC-designed device, rather than the one that could have slipped out of Apple’s labs. Prior to the HTC One M9 and HTC 10, the stunning One M8 set the standard for HTC’s products. Since the One M8’s release, its successors, including the One M9 have a similar design. That’s not to say that the One M9 isn’t a beautiful-looking phone, but it doesn’t have the same ‘wow factor’ as some of HTC’s previous flagship handsets or even the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, that standout. The HTC One is a looker, and a phone that’s easy to recognise in the ever-expanding sea of mobiles. It’s far more interesting to look at than its top rival the Samsung Galaxy S4.
