About this deal

You can mix and match as you wish. The various mixes are balanced (including bonus card percentages, within a percentage point or so). Can I reroll the dice in the birdfeeder if gaining food from a bird’s power? What about when there are qualifying terms such as “if available” or “if there is one?” SM has some of my favorite games and I am a Champion. I am considering the box, even though I designed an insert that will fit all Wingspan content in the base base (except player boards….have never used them due to having nested in play mats), and I have room for 80 more cards. But I would hate to spend the money for it, to open it and have to throw away insert because it won’t fit my 3d resources that I got from Poland (the best of all resources that were available on the market -IMO). Let’s say one player did the Lay Eggs action (for example) and will then activate two birds, first one with a predator power, next one that allows them to take from the bird feeder. Let’s say there’s another player with “once between turns” that’s triggered by predator powers. If the first player’s predator activation succeeds, who goes to go to the bird feeder first: the first player who’s activating birds in their Lay Eggs row or the second player whose pink bird was triggered by the first activated predator bird? Wingspan Asia (everything but the box–thanks for making an eco-friendly choice! If you want the box art on your wall, buying this print directly and solely supports illustrators Natalia and Ana)

In this third expansion to Wingspan, we welcome new species to our habitats by exploring the vibrant, intriguing, and magnificent birds of Asia. These birds were chosen from the over 2,800 species that live in Asia. The infamous eggs have been switched from plastic to painted wooden tokens. For me, this is an improvement in the feel of the eggies in hand. These are lighter than their plastic counterparts, and the colours are significantly brighter too. In this set the eggs are a deep burgundy colour, which are definitely a welcome change for me versus the pretty pastels that were in the base game. The operation of the eggs functions exactly the same, although you may find if you go heavy on the egg game that you might need some substitute tokens even just for two players. This is counter to how we have been playing since Day 1 we got it (before any expansions), and how the Digital version counts this. The digital version could have a bug, but the r23 of the official rules say the following: The first printing of the Nesting Box includes Wingspan Asia (except the Wingspan Asia box, which isn’t necessary because it’s stored in the Nesting Box. This is an eco-friendly measure we’ve taken to avoid waste and excess). If you really, really want the Wingspan Asia box, we don’t have empty boxes for sale, so you’ll can simply buy Wingspan Asia and wait for a future printing of the Nesting Box that doesn’t have the expansion inside. You can learn more about the Nesting Box here: https://stonemaiergames.com/games/wingspan/wingspan-nesting-box/ I really had no idea what Elizabeth would do with that idea, and the result—the Duet map—delighted me beyond my highest expectations. The Duet mode is competitive (we used the term “duet” because birds like to sing), and you can use any bird cards and any bonus cards for it. Whenever you play a 2-player game of Wingspan, you can play with or without the Duet mode—it’s your choice.

The Duet mode is really what this expansion brings to the die-hard fans. This is a two player specific version of Wingspan which includes an additional board where you and your opponent will be vying for area control and to create the largest contiguous group whilst also snagging the bonuses at the end of each round where possible. When playing in Duet mode, the end of round goals are based on the Duet board. top layer (removable cardboard tray): holds 5 neoprene mats (laid flat), 10 player mats, rulebooks, goal mat So, my interpretation of all of this, is that if I play a bird with Nectar in it’s cost, using the 2 for 1 exchange to pay for the Nectar, the following happens: The “sets of eggs” end-round goal is explained like this in the Appendix (pg 3): “One set of eggs consists of 1 egg in the wetland row, 1 egg in the grassland row, and 1 egg in the forest row. Count the number of sets. For this goal you’re only counting th eggs in each habitat. It does not matter on which birds or columns the eggs are placed.”The top layer is designed to hold 5 neoprene mats and two sets of 5 player mats, as well as the rulebooks and the goal mat. This layer needs to be a little longer, as some of the neoprene mats don’t quite lay flat. It also needs to be a little taller to fit future expansion rulebooks (though there’s another place for them in the box too). If there’s a tie, the tied players all split the places they’re tied for. Two players who are tied for 1st means they are also tied for 2nd. So two people tied for 1st split 1st and 2nd place’s points, then all other players would follow after that, 3rd place, 4th, etc. If there’s a clear 1st, but the next two players tie for 2nd and 3rd, they split those two places’ points, then all other player would follow with 4th, etc. If there’s a three-way tie, then all three of the places they tied for would be split (for instance, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, then other players would get 4th and beyond). Remember the divided points are always rounded down. I might find this somewhere else before you respond but I heard on one video that some cards have been updated but I cant for the life of me find the list of these cards right now. Do you have the list? I am aware of the Historian issue and have removed it but the rest I could not find. I can see a scenario where an early “accidentally wrong” placement of a key bird could arguably swing the game such that even removal of the bird would be insufficient to remove the full benefit that the player making the error received. Oooooh, major information incoming! Thanks for the major & super exciting update! On first glance I love the additional focus on 2-Player. It seems all the great games are getting a Duel version at the minute & it is a very welcome & exciting tr
