The FM10T-7 is twice as efficient, due to the pre-fitted DUOBLADE and with the pre-fitted Ram Stop it can save you time. This manual model is genuinely impressive as it can split logs as large as the biggest electric log splitter can – up to 60cm in diameter and 51cm in length.

Electric log splitters are usually not as powerful as petrol ones, so if you need particularly thick wood splitting, they might not be the best choice. When in twin-blade mode, it splits the logs from both ends using the Duocut blade that is attached to the other end of the log splitter. It’s a great – and cost-effective - alternative to hydraulic log splitters and just requires a few foot pumps to split a log.

Although I recommend this affordable model for the home user like myself, it really can handle a lot more which I talk about in my review further down. I was intending to build my own screw type splitter but further investigation shows they too struggle with knotty wood.

The longer this length, the fewer logs you have to cut down before putting them into the log splitter. This model does not come with a stand or the Duocut blade that many of the other Forest Master models come with. A powerful motor ensures the logs split with ease and most log splitters have motors that are between 1960W and 2300W. The machine performs extremely well with any size or type of log and is highly efficient and easy to use.
