Tents with rigid poles made of stainless steel or aluminium are for building a rigid frame that will keep your tent sturdy in the wind. We would use the other entrance (without groundsheet) for stashing our wet gear or cooking in if the weather was really bad. This is because you'll break the surface tension between water droplets on the outside and the canvas underneath, and this could cause leaks. If you’re going to be pitching up at a site, or wild camping a short walk from your car then I can not recommend this tent highly enough.

This 2 man tent is very roomy inside, there were 2 adults on (not small) sleeping mats and also our 2 young dogs. We got the distinct impression that this backpacking tent will cope easily with quite a bit of nasty weather. Complete with a waterproof groundsheet and breathable inner fabric, the Berghaus Grampian 3 Man Tent keeps all moisture at bay.

Need to know Groundsheet sewn into bedrooms (not porch), one entrance, no windows, two air vents, porch, 12 storage pockets, awning poles included Quechua Arpenaz 4. I now feel ready to review this after using it about a dozen times for camping trips from 2 nights to 2 weeks across the UK and mainland Europe.

Keep good ventilation going as you will have condensation on the inside but I have always woken up to a dry inside.

The lightweight construction with colour coded poles makes it just as easy to pitch as it is to carry. As we wanted to sit outdoors and enjoy our steak and pasta, we set up a tarp infront of the Grampian 2.

They're usually flexible and will need to be bent to fit the shape of the tent canvas during pitching.Item arrived in a big cardboard box with the large sized (5Litre) container/bottle of NIKWAX Tech Wash inside in brand new condition and is as described. While some easily stood up for a few days to everything the elements could throw at them, others were blown down and ended up with puddles inside. But I have no experience of them, nor do I know how much Berghaus get involved in the quality control of their manufacture. We had some rain and quite a bit of wind on this camping outing, but the Berghaus Grampian 2 tent took it all in it’s stride.
